May 2018 Member of the Month - Steve MacPherson

Congratulations to our May 2018 Member of the Month, Steve MacPherson! Steve's consistency, easy going, and focused energy inspires all. Everyone knows if Steve is "complaining" about a workout or exercise, it's extra challenging...lol.

About 10 of them – Mac, Sasser, d-tae are some of them.

Where are you from?

Dayton OH

How long have you been at PushPointe?

4 years

What brought you to PushPointe?  

Leonard’s classes at the Y

What classes do you usually attend? 

TRX and HIIT and some of Ronnie’s strength classes.

What do you do outside of PushPointe? (work? school? etc?)

Work way too much, ride mountain bikes, listen to music but not nearly enough, drink beer, chop wood and burn it in my Cowboy Cauldron

What is something about you we might not know?

My wife and I decided to move to the Charlotte area 18 years ago with no kids and basically no jobs.  More or less said what the hell, we are moving.  Haven’t looked back.

Who is your superhero? 

No one in particular but I admire people who are willing to sacrifice everything for something they feel strongly about that will make the world a better place.   Too many people look the other way when a wrong is being done.

What is your favorite PushPointe class? 

TRX Friday morning

What is your greatest achievement at the studio so far? 

75 miles on the bike during the 3 hour cancer ride

What is one goal, and what have you been doing to work towards it? 

I would like to do a 10 minute plank; currently at 5:45

What motivates or inspires you? 

Being in good enough shape so that I can ride my bike on long and tough rides.  

What is your best tip for new members?  

Do classes that you actually like and mix it up so  you don’t get burned out.  Listen to  your body and give it a rest when it needs it.
