Moving Creates Movement

Feeling unmotivated to get in the gym or do your workout? Take two minutes, close your eyes, and focus on the feeling after your workout. Remind yourself of how good you feel after your workouts - the feelings of accomplishment, energy, taking care of yourself, etc. - then take a deep breath  and get moving.

In a nine-month study University of Jyvaskyla researchers found that resistance training workouts can increase the overall enjoyment from exercise. In other words - the process of exercise can increase your appreciation and affinity to exercise.

During the study, nearly half of the participants experienced increased motivation to workout and reported exercising consistently 1-2 times per week up to two years later. The desire to exercise begets the desire to exercise.

Developing the exercise habit creates a momentum that helps fuel the habit. Is that motivation enough for you?
